Biographies
Susie Fowler-Watt (1987), BBC Look East Presenter and Journalist
Susie Fowler-Watt presents BBC Look East, the BBC's regional news programme for the Eastern Counties.
Susie has worked as a journalist for the BBC since she was 21. She started out in local radio, as Lowestoft reporter for BBC Radio Suffolk. Later she moved to Westminster where she was an Assistant Producer for BBC political programmes. She went on to become the political correspondent for BBC East. During her career, she has interviewed many of the country's top politicians, including four prime ministers.
Susie has been one of the main presenters of BBC Look East for 20 years. She’s also a long-standing columnist for the EDP Norfolk magazine.
Jess Asato (1999), former Parliamentary Candidate
Jessica Asato stood for Parliament in Norwich North in 2015 and has previously been a Councillor in Islington. She was a Political Advisor to Dame Tessa Jowell MP from 2012-2015 and currently works as the Public Affairs Manager for SafeLives, a national domestic abuse charity. Jessica is a former Chair of the Fabian Society and Vice-Chair of the Electoral Reform Society.
Lee Davidson (1993), Security Manager, Fédération Internationale de Football Association
Lee was Captain of Trinity Hall Women’s Football Club and played for Cambridge University Women’s 2nd XI but never thought there’d be a chance to work in the sport.
She fell into the civil service a few years after graduating, specialising in anti-social behaviour before being appointed Head of Football at the Home Office. Seizing the opportunity to pursue a career in sport, she did the unthinkable and quit the civil service to become Head Steward & Deputy Safety Officer at Lord’s Cricket Ground. She also worked at the Commonwealth Games in 2014, and at the Rugby World Cup in 2015.
On New Year’s Day Lee emigrated to Switzerland to take up her current position as Security Manager at FIFA. She reckons she’s learnt about 400 words in German so far, but none of them go together to make sentences…

Gillian Karran-Cumberlege leads Fidelio Partners’ Board Practice. She is also an Independent Non-Executive Board Member, Jaguar Land Rover India; a Member of the Harvard Business School Alumni Board and of the German British Forum Board. Her biography ‘Charles II: The Star King’ was published in 2016 and she is currently writing a history of England’s ‘long seventeenth century’ (1585-1720) for Penguin.
