THe-news: Michaelmas Term 2017/18

Avery Court

A highlight of this summer was the 1 July THwomen40 anniversary event. It was a great day and wonderful to see so many alumni and guests in College. At the start of the academic year, we welcomed 119 undergraduates and 75 graduates as well as 11 new Fellows. In October we moved into our newly refurbished offices on I staircase. We now have a comfortable space to meet with alumni and a lovely view of Avery Court (above). It is always a pleasure to speak to returning alumni so if you are in College please feel free come up and say hello.

We wish you a wonderful festive season and hope to see you in College soon.

Poem in Front Court

Poetry in Front Court

If you are visiting College on a wet day in the next few weeks, take a look at the path leading from Front Court to Avery Court. There you will see a poem that is only visible when wet. Wake is a poem about Trinity Hall, written by a Katrina Porteous (1979) as part of the THwomen40 anniversary.

Tapestry in the Dining Hall
A new College tapestry
A new piece of art, a tapestry created by Cornelia Parker OBE, has been hung in the Dining Hall gallery. It portrays some of the College’s most significant silver pieces and integrates one piece into the tapestry itself, woven in its threads.
