College News: Exam Success & Hall Change

This year's students have achieved excellent exam results, with Trinity Hall finishing third in the Baxter and Tomkins Table, up from eighth place last year.

Dr Nick Bampos will be stepping down as Senior Tutor this year.  He will remain as a Fellow of the College, with the role of Senior Tutor being taken on by Dr Clare Jackson.  Clare is the current Admissions Tutor (Arts) and will be giving the Milestone Lecture in November.  We are sure that everyone will want to join us in extending our warmest thanks to Nick for his outstanding Senior Tutorship of the College over the last ten years.

Refurbishment of the dining hall has started, and while work is in progress, all dining will take place in a marquee in Front Court.  The hall is being redecorated, with essential repairs to the fabric of the building being undertaken and improvements to lighting, heating and acoustics also taking place.  Thank you to all those who took part in our bench auction last month which raised over £10,000.  You can see photos and follow progress of the refurbishment online on our website: www.trinhall.cam.ac.uk/hallrefurb
